Savestate fail for Metroid Prime Pinball in DeSmuME?

The environment:

  • Fresh install of the latest nightly RetroArch Windows x86_64 build.
  • Fresh DeSmuME core downloaded from within RA.
  • Hash-verified Metroid Prime Pinball (USA) dump.
  • Numerous other Nintendo DS ROM’s tested; no trouble loading savestates.

The problem:

  • Trying to load a just-created MPP savestate causes RA to halt then close.

  • Can anyone else reproduce this problem?

I just confirmed that this problem doesn’t exist in standalone DeSmuME (at least not in the most recent build) so it’s something about the RetroArch core specifically.
