Searching Mame without using Key Buttons

You can search for Mame Games in Retroarch but when you Press P it Pauses Retroarch and F make it full Screen.

So is there a way I can use the Keyboard in Mame without setting these Off?

Yes, you can either map a ā€œhotkey enableā€ which makes RetroArch ignore hotkeys unless you hold down the enabler, or you can use the ā€˜game focus modeā€™, which is kinda like keyboard capture on a virtual machine. That is, it sends all keypresses straight to the core instead.

settings > input > hotkey binds

Did that but when I exit core it Loses the Button I set it at.

Also I find when I try and Load Some Mame Roms that it says its not Loading but I have the Rom for it. Why does it do that?

Hotkey binds arenā€™t included in overrides (sucks, but itā€™s just a quirk of the input/settings backends).

You can include it in your overall config, or you can manually add it into your override with a text editor (though it will get wiped out again if you save a new overrideā€¦) or you can manually add it to your gamepadā€™s autoconfig profile.
