Snes9x-Next core and DSP-4 games?

The game I tried was Top Gear 3000. The problem is when racing. Snes9x-Next does not render the enemy cars’ sprites correctly, resulting in glitches. On my Windows 10 laptop it’s still playable, but on my Raspberry Pi 3 it creates even more glitches as the race goes. I haven’t tested much further, fearing a freeze.

Is there a setting to alleviate the problem? It’s not a problem with all SNES extra chips, I reckon. Super Mario Kart even uses a chip from the same family (DSP-1) and runs flawlessly. I don’t think it’s completely fixable ATM because my versions of the core are the latest and it still happens.

snes9x-next has some speedhacks that make it faster than regular snes9x but at the cost of some accuracy issues. This is probably one of them.

I see. Well, I guess I’ll keep it in my library but not play it for now or use the other cores when applicable. Unfortunately none of the other cores bundled with RetroPie can handle this game since they don’t seem capable of emulating the DSP-4.
