SOTN Overlapping text issue. Beetle HW PSX Core

Hey all I am trying to Use Beetle HW PSX core under retro Arch with Castlevania Symphony of the Night and I am running to this issue where the text overlaps and does not scroll properly inside of the text box. When I run it inside of the non HW version of the Beetle core it works properly. Im running a nightly build of 1.67 from August 18th of this year. Not too sure if updating would fix this issue or not. I have my settings for the game set to their defaults no graphical enhancements. I have tried setting the API from Vulkan to OpenGL and still the same thing happens. Here is a picture showing what I am trying to explain.
