with either save games or savestates. i have the latest android nightly.
in-game saves are working fine for me
i just restarted my system. it just sames GAME SAVE FAILED! in the top left.
Make sure you have write permissions to the save location specified in your ‘directory settings’

Basically, if it’s in /data/data/*, you won’t, so you should change it to somewhere on your internal storage or SD card, for example.
SD card is out of the question. since the last android update that requires root last i checked. i have had it on internal for a year or so now. any other insights?
You should be able to write to the internal storage space. Try /sdcard0/android/data/com.retroarch/files.
i hooked up to my computer and made a “savestates” folder. i’ll see if i can’t move stuff around. any known issues with the nvidia shield portable flexes dope console

Ok I checked this, prboom doesn’t use the save interface, it’s in-game saves save to the game folder, so unless your rom can write to that dir you’re SOL NextApp SD fix is a must for any serious android user.
