VICE & Nuklear GUI

I was able to get some games to work with VICE core. However, each time I access Nuklear GUI with Commodore setup options, emulation seems to freeze. I can still access RetroArch GUI but after returning to VICE there’s no way to close Nuklear GUI. I’m able to open and close Commodore’s on-screen keyboard but can’t select nor activate any key on it.

I’ve run RetroArch on Windows and Android and encountered exactly same issue.

Is Nuklear GUI broken, or is there something that I’m doing wrong?

Tried Lakka on Pi3 - same issue, can’t change anything in the GUI, not even close the GUI. Installer RetroArch and VICE core on the Ubuntu x86 and found that GUI can be controlled with mouse when controller is set to the joystick in the RetroArch. Can this GUI be controlled with controller (e.g. PS3 , PS4 , 360 or any other)? Is there any documentation on how it suppose to work?
