Any ideas what might be causing this? Do I need a bios file? I’ve got jagboot.zip located in a \system\virtualjaguar folder. Is this necessary?
I had the same issue, if you are using 32-bit retroarch, try the 64-bit version or vice-versa.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion, but still no luck. I tried lots of different versions (32 bit, 64 bit, stable, nightlies), but no go. I’ve also tried on both Windows 7 and 10 and it’s still crashing. Any other ideas as to what might be going on here?
A log would tell us more, a backtrace would tell us more still

This entry seems to be where the trouble is:

Does this have anything to do with vsync? I usually disable it to prevent audio crackling. I tried enabling it, but RA still crashed.
I think your log may not be complete. The Windows port has some problems with this, unfortunately…
Anyway, I ran it through gdb to get a backtrace and it looks like it’s having a problem with some code that was changed on Sept. 28. I’ll follow up and try to revert the offending lines, if not the entire commit.

I reverted the commit in my local repository but it still has issues here, so something else is probably afoot. Core work is on hold until the next release pushes out but I can open an issue on the github repo so it doesn’t fall through the cracks.
EDIT: whoops, looks like this issue may already exist: https://github.com/libretro/virtualjaguar-libretro/issues/14
In that case, I can try to build you a copy of the library that will work in the meantime.
