Wondering IF there is a List of Core’s that use this?
It should be similar to the list of cores that support netplay, since it’s built on a similar concept.
Can anyone confirm if final burn alpha is among the cores that have patched for performance? I saw the blog post where it was tested on a PS3 but it wasn’t mentioned among the patched cores unlike nestopia and snes9x
It may not have needed it /shrug
I have never used NetPlay so I would not know which Cores it Supports
It works on any core that supports save states, as far as I could infer from Dwedit’s explanations in the dedicated thread. That being said, bear in mind that actual performance might vary significantly from core to core, depending on the amount of processing power required by the emulation of each system and the optimization that may or may not have been added to the core itself.
As an example, let’s take SNES cores: snes9x is blazingly fast and should give no problem with Runahead ON and Secondary Core activated even on low-power devices. On the other hand, bsnes-mercury has significantly higher requirements and thus may exhibit slowdown, stutters and/or graphical glitches with this feature activated.
Thanks for Explanation and that Does Make Sense.
Though is there somewhere I can look to see which Core’s be Blazing Fast with Less CPU then a BSNES that Take More. So what be the best Cores to use it on?
