What's up with the PPSSPP core?

It’s been months now since the emulator hit 1.5, yet the core is still on 1.4.2. What gives? I thought those days were over, and I was under the impression that a lot of work was done to prevent this from happening. As someone who would rather run the core with Vulkan to get out of fiddling with custom config files, I was initially super hyped for it.

I am sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation , and I don’t mean to come off as ungrateful or a downer. Just curious. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi!

The repository looks like it has already been updated to 1.5.4:

But the latest release was made from 1.4.2. What does the build bot use? Doesn’t it just build the current master branch?

moreover the armhf version of this core still left in the dark… WTF

what a nice comment to encourage maintainance and development of the core…

Is this directed at me? I really didn’t mean any disrespect, like I said, I am just curious. I am open to the possibility that I misunderstood the intentions behind redesigning the PPSSPP core last time, as I am not privy to the inner workings of libretro and the work that goes into it. :slightly_smiling_face:

However, I did get an answer to my question straight from TwinAphex’s mouth over at /r/emulation, so I’m quite content. Eagerly awaiting the update now!
