Where's the supermodel core?

Hi,

Around september I read about the incoming supermodel core, which was suposed to be available in the next weeks. But time has passed and the core is not here, neither any news about it.

Is it still being worked on? Any problems with it? Can we still have hope to see it in the next weeks?

I don’t think Twinaphex has had time to work on it. It shouldn’t take long once he gets started but there are some things that have come up that are more pressing.

Any Update on this? Been a year now, we got a great update to the UI a few new cores but no supermodel

Twinaphex has at least started on it, but I don’t think he’s gotten very far. He was planning to knock out daphne core and then move on to supermodel but I believe he’s still working on quite a bit from daphne and may end up dropping it to move over to supermodel.

In the meantime, though, supermodel has passed some really major milestones, so it might end up having been for the best.

I recently tried Batocera as it has support for Supermodel, but decided I much prefer Lakka.

I am guessing Batocera is not using a libretro core, but the actual Windows-based software running on their OS which I think is based on LibreELEC?

I spotted there is a GitHub page for the Supermodel core here: https://github.com/libretro/supermodel

I am hoping one day we may see a core, or perhaps MAME will support more of the games in the future.

The guy who was working on it got bogged down and stuck pretty quickly and never picked it up back up. So no, it’s not happening, at least not from that guy.

In my opinion it is not a serious attitude about it…

Yeah, this is all hobbyist volunteer work for zero compensation, so an unserious attitude is to be expected.

I hate people who think that Emulator Developers work Full Time on them.

You won’t make enough Money to do that

People need to keep off there backs as more as they Harass them more Likely they just stop Developing all together
