Working Snes Core?

Hi everyone,

so I tried the snes9x core because everyone said run-ahead is working without any issues. But snes9x has so many audio issues with e.g. secret of mana. So i switched to bsnes because it has internal run-ahead and was perfectly running with audio. However none of ips or bos patches are working which are essential for translations.

Currently frustrated which core to use. Is it possible to focus on one core to get it up and running properly? My favourite would be bsnes.

I just did a fresh pull on snes9x and Secret of Mana’s music sounds perfect here. Do you have any specific examples of problems?

bsnes works fine with patches, it just doesn’t support soft-patching. So, you can keep using it as long as you just hardpatch.

I found the issue. Wheras in bsnes you can overclock up to 20% without any issues in almost all games, the overclocking (even light) in snes9x causes audio problems in most squaresoft games. :see_no_evil: That’s why I had noise in almost all snes9x rpg games.
