Zinc Emulator Core

Dear friends, I would like to ask if its possible to make a core for the zinc zn1, zn2, s11 emulator.

I know its old and doesn’t get updated anymore since ages, but its scaling up the 3D graphics, so it looks way better then mame for example.

It should also be easy to maintain, because its availible for linux and windows, its fully command line only, and also no updates will ever be availible.

Here are two websites with a few imformation about the emulator:

Here an example screenshot of the upscale: http://imgur.com/a/uIwN2

What is your opinion?

Thank you.

I don’t think Zinc is open source, is it? I couldn’t find any source repos, at least.

Pointing out that Zinc is part of MAME. Ever since Zinc no longer get updated. MAME Dev port it into MAME. But the games are slower on MAME.

"MAME is more accurate, but slower.

Zinc is faster, but less accurate, although it has high res 3d graphics and texture filtering available to make the graphics look better."

There is no source code, so there is no possibility of making a core.

Thank you for clearing this up.
