1 fps in menu on fresh installation on a mini pc

Hi,

i just installed lakka on an intel atom PC and it runs on about 1 fps (the main menu). I think it must be something that can be configured because the pc is surely more powerful than a RPi on which it runs smoothly. Maybe it does not use the graphics accelerator. The PC is a Foxconn nT-535 with a Intel NM10 CPU / Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 (also 4GB of RAM and an SSD), Can anyone give me a hint?

Thanks Lukas

you could edit your retroarch.cfg to switch from the fancy XMB menu to the lightweight RGUI menu: menu_driver = "xmb to menu_driver = “rgui”

Hey hunterk, thanks for the advice. I’m pretty sure thought that the computer “can take it”, it’s just misconfigured or something is wrong in some way. It is much more powerful than a raspberry and has a dedicated graphics unit, so it should be ok.

Had that on my eee PC too; assuming the gfx acceleration was not supported by Lakka so it was rendered only in software which was sloooooow. So switching the GUI as advised by hunterk helped for me as well.

DISABLE ribbon under menu. in XBM driver. (it wont show up unless in xmb driver) I forget the option name, but it says “ribbon” turn that to off, and you’re set!

Just go to the settings section. Go down to “menu” then near the bottom change ribbon to off.

It is painfully slow to get there. But once you do it. It pays off.
