Which is the preferred method of scanning content? Curious to hear what others are using. Do you use “Scan Directory” which matches against a database or “Manual Scan” based on just file names?
Hi! I use “Scan Directory” as my main playlist generator, and “Manual Scan” for some edge cases that suit me better (DOS games, some merged FB Neo games).
I started with “Scan Directory” when first introduced to Lakka but then changed to manual scanning as some roms weren’t being detected and found it easier to rename some roms to match what was expected when pulling down thumbnails. Like yourself, I have gone back to “Scan Directory” as some CHD’s required manually scanning. In my experience, manually scanning seems to complete a lot quicker though.
