@stamatis87 asked about a Paprium overlay a while back and I’ve finally gotten around to putting some materials together for that and thought I’d share some of the progress. Here is a draft marquee:
And I’ve been spending quite a bit of time learning the latest AI tools and models, things like ComfyUI, Flux, Kontext, Qwen Image Edit. I’ve just been creating some ultrawide wallpapers for my own monitor and sharing those out. It’s amazing how fast all this has progressed and the things it enables for projects like this. Here is some of the character art I’ve been assembling for a potential bezel:
I was able to take original pixel art like this:
and turn it into:
I’ve got similar renders for all the main characters together now. This game had almost no art for it, so it’s very helpful:
Anyway, hopefully I can come up with a good bezel and use these. Just thought I’d share this progress with you all.

I don’t know how much is human generated and how much is AI generated, anyhow I have to say this is magnificent!!

It’s a mix, I have to do a lot of work with the prompts to get things accurate, but I’ll often have to go into photoshop to edit the output, for instance, the models struggle with bodies without the standard number of limbs so for the character without arms I went in and removed them myself. There’s a lot of things you can do with the tools if you gen local, like using controlnets to define what you want produced, and using lora’s to extend the base models, and I’ve gotten into training my own models to get a certain scene or style, so it’s much more involved than just a prompt. But in this case, nano banana did most of the heavy lifting. Beyond the editing I also ran it through an anime specific upscaler with a controlnet to get a clean hi-res image.

Hi @noreason, sorry for the delayed response. I haven’t put together any kind of distribution pack for the raw art files yet, though that is something that I’m currently planning to include in a new overlay website I’m designing right now, so it might be available in the next month or two there. Otherwise there are some great repositories online for a lot of the same artwork that you can get them from. I often use them as a source for my overlays and I really only do restoration or custom art when there isn’t anything good already there.
