Not a bad idea but I’d like to keep the crt vertically aligned.
I was just using OrionsAngel’s VR as an example.
HSM_NON_INTEGER_SCALE_OFFSET = "99.600006"
HSM_SCREEN_POSITION_Y = "-132.000000"
HSM_CURVATURE_MODE = "3.000000"
HSM_CURVATURE_3D_TILT_ANGLE_Y = "-4.000000"
HSM_BZL_WIDTH = "240.000000"
HSM_BZL_HEIGHT = "160.000000"
HSM_BZL_OUTER_POSITION_Y = "6.000000"
Rastan is one of my favorite arcade games! Awesome work!
Is animated lighting on the overlays supported in Retroarch for games such as Afterburner, etc?
Or is it only in MAME?
For the moment, with those NO cuz it use the Mega Bezel presets / shaders + overlay but you can always use same artworks from mame with the mame core of retroarch. You will need some changes in the mame.ini file in Retroarch/system/Mame/ini and some modifications in retroarch parameters…
Hope it’s clear
Liquid Kids (by @sorbeppe), Last Duel, Lunar Lander, Liberator, Legionaire and Legendary Wings.
This completes L letter from Vertical Arcade.
NBA Show Time, NBA Jam Tournament Edition, NBA Jam, NATO Defense, Night Driver, NARC, The Ninja Warriors, Mystic Marathon, Ms. Pac-Man, Millipede, Midnight Resistance, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Mars Matrix, MArio Bros. (two versions), Marble Madness, a better version of Ninja Baseball Bat Man, Out Zone and Operation Thunderbolt.
This completes letters M, N and O from Vertical Arcade. Also includes overlays from other contributors.
NATO Defense, Night Driver and Operation Thunderbolt could be improved by removing the included plastic bezel from the overlay file. The Ninja Warrios is a three monitor wide game. I hope it looks better in a 4K monitor.
Hey, K-rnivoro… where do you post your overlays?
There are not my overlays. I just make the Mega Bezel parameteres files fot them. The repository is managed by @ArsInvictus, who is one of the designers. Look for the link in previous posts of him in this thread.
Qix, The Punisher, Primal Rage, Prehistoric Isle (both versions), Popeye (both versions), Pig Skin (both versions), Peter Pack Rat, Knucke Bash.
This completes overlays up to letter Q from Vertical Arcade
If you find something is missing, or does not work properly, just let me know.
Ok… I know he has a dropbox listed in the first post, along with 42 other links. If I look for the ninja warriors files (you recently posted screenshots for) I don’t see it in the dropbox. I’m sure it’s some silly oversight on my part.
New and updated Raiden Series. Better (more accurate) bezel reflection:
Raiden, Raiden II, Raiden Dx, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, Raiden Fighters Jet.
For Fighters series, first time you boot, you have to wait the 999 counter to reach 000, then go to Dipswitches menu (with TAB key) and change it from Update to normal. Then reset the game. It shouldn’t do it again.
Have you guys seen this? The arcade cabinet renders are really impressive. There are a few that haven’t been created here yet. I wonder where this guy obtained the assets from. The only negative is Spacie’s pronunciation of Galaga.
What do you guys think about it?

I don’t know, but those cabinets surely does not have bezel reflection.
Ha. I was mostly thinking about the control panels.
Can’t wait to try it. Was just about to post about this. You beat me do it, Neo!
Yeah I saw that the other day and was blown away. I need to try it too, if it works on the new Apple headset it would be incredible I’m sure. The downside is not really being able to see well to interact with the actual controls and that you have to wear a bulky headset to play.
I’d love to be able to apply my own artwork to cabinet models too, so ideally they’d create some kind of studio/creator mode that allows that without having to know how to do 3d modeling. I’d love to use it to get a preview for an art set before building an actual cabinet.
I picked up a couple more cabinets the other day and I’m thinking to convert one over to a Ghox cabinet and the 4 player unit to a Snow Bros 2 - With New Elves. Both Toaplan games that I love, and would be totally unique. It would be great to have a model to see how it will look before investing all the time and money.
It’s a one man operation currently but the project exploded in popularity in the last few days. The creator plans to open source at some point.
If a desktop view was added you wouldn’t need the headset to view the arcade. Obviously you wouldn’t get the full experience but you would be able to navigate and check out the machines.
There are already a ton of suggestions in the Discord. Who knows what can or will be implemented.
It’s an awesome project and I’m looking forward to seeing it evolve.
Yeah if a portrait mode for the desktop view is provided it might be able to replicate the kind of experience we’ve been trying to create with these overlays
