720p video issue xu4

Newbie here. This is a fresh install of lakka on Xu4. It works fine on HDMI monitor and 1080p TVs. But once it is placed on a 720 p TV most of the menu is gone and if a game is started only the top 20% of the screen is visible then the rest is evenly spaced vertical strips . Tried interger scaling with no joy. Before refreshing install changed boot.ini to static 720p also that did not reslove the issue.

Please help me save this Christmas Gift =)

Thanks

Hello, in the boot.ini, in the first partition, you can disable EDID detection and force a display mode like 720p.

Hello Kivutar, I change the boot.ini so setenv video_output “drm_kms_helper.edid_firmware=edid/1280x720.bin” was set. But I am still getting the same odd display issue. Did you notice in the picture how all the Icons are missing and part of the drop down menu is cutoff but the time and the name of the menu that is being accessed line up just fine and the xu4 functions perfectly on monitors and 1080p TVs just not 720p TVs. Thanks for your help.

Kivutar, I think I am having the same issue as this github open issue https://github.com/libretro/Lakka/issues/261 . I even removed the additional text but lakka seem to be ignoring the boot.ini set resolutions. Here is a picture of the rgui menu on the same TV. I have tried several 720P TV with the same issue.

Mhhhh. I have just 3 TVs to test here. One is 1920x1080, and worked out of the box. The two others have lower resolutions, and my screen was full black, and disabling EDID detection fixed that.

I have no TV that can reproduce this bug. Sorry
