8bitdo N64 for Lakka on a Pi3

Has anyone been successful pairing the 8bitdo N64 controller to their Lakka system on a Pi3? I have the SNES30 controllers working, but when I go into my SSH console to pair the N64 controllers, it says paired:yes but then immediately says failed to connect, even though my controller stops blinking and has a solid light. Here are the commands i’m using:

bluetoothctl agent on default-agent power on discoverable on pairable on scan on connect trust

am i doing something wrong? this method worked for the SNES30 controllers **sadly they will not reconnect so I have to do the “connect” command on each reboot :frowning: ***

thanks for any help you can point my way

I like to see a solution to this to. Been thinking about investing in 2 of these in the future .

have you tried to pair the nes30 with alternate config (holding b on power on or something similar i do not remember) and then pair the n64 controller? or have you tried to first pair n64 and then nes30? about the “no auto reconnect” after power cycle this is a well known problem, it is known from the lakka version 1 (from time that they added 8bitdo support). i’m not a programmer, but since lakka versions are going up but the problem is still here, i think it is unfixable… sadly
