Adding package to Lakka image

so i’m trying to understand this whole world here … let’s say i want to install some more packages on my Lakka OS, which is based on LibreELEC, which is a JeOS, which has no package manager / repositories (right?). So that means i would have to add the packages at image creation time in buildroot. Is there a way i can start off with the buildroot config of Lakka and add packages myself? How difficult would it be to co-install Kodi on Lakka. Skimming through the web i could find mostly dual-boots which … i really don’t see the point since Lakka is based on LibreELEC and LibreELEC’s sole purpose is to run Kodi.

Can somebody enlighten me or point me in the right direction?

If you want to add package please check this documentation.

If you need Kodi, you should try to use Recalbox.

A build already exists like that, but is the other way around. LibreElec Kodi with Retroarch added in the package: Forum Post Git Page
