Adding support for Amlogic S802/805 chipset, is OpenELEC already supported!

Hi, I wanted to ask if there is any possibility to add support for Amlogic S802/805 devices, like: S82, M8, MXIII, Tronsmart S89 Android Boxes. These devices are really fast and really full featured. I found out that OpenELEC pure images are already available for the devices:

Hello, support for these devices will be merged from OpenELEC 6 when we will find a solution to not loose PC 32bit and BIOS support that they recently droped.

Hi Kivutar, any news on Amlogic S802/805 chipset support?

I will try to add it when I finish porting to OrangePiPC and OdroidC2. Could you open an issue about it in the tracker please?

@matcarfer This is completed. I have been playing with retroarch on my MK808B plus (s805) for a few months !

Original thread where the retroarch addon was found :

Its awesome! PS1 emulation is full speed with the pcsx_rearmed_libretro.so core.

Now there is also a way to run retroarch on S905/S905X devices. It is not a full Lakka build but addons to Kodi under LibreELEC which give you a lot of what Lakka offers (including the awesome xmb menu UI). This uses a “hack” to run 32 bit binaries on S905(X).

We will release images for S805, S802, and other Amlogic boards soon. We’re very close to completion.

Does lakka still support the Amlogic s802? I am trying to get lakka to boot on an s802 M8 box, but I am getting a black screen. I have tried the latest RC6 for v2.1 and the latest v2.0, neither of them are working.
