Hello, I’ve installed capsimg.so as well as the correct kickstart rom. Both files seems to be accepted by PUAE 2021 core (no error messages now). However, when I start a game all I see is the famous workbench disk but the game is never loaded. Any idea why?

That simply means that no bootable disk is inserted. Log will tell more what is wrong with the disks or paths. Probably wrong version of capsimg then.
Might want to save all the future trouble by just dropping the IPF disks and embracing WHDLoad LHAs instead.
Definitely worthwhile embracing IPF and WHDLoad if you just want to play the games.
