Any good beginners tutorials?

There seem to be a lot of different ways to make a retro console and I stumbled upon Lakka since it seems the simplest way to handle multiple emulators but does know of any guides to get started making them? I am a noob but I figure it would be a good way to learn a few different skills and I would get some retro games out of it.

I am on a budget, I’ll eventually want to try and make something that can handle gamecube and dream cast, though I know those arent really supported right now. But I figure start cheap then eventually make something better.

Some of us have been working quite intensively on the Lakka documentation. It still has a long way to go but I hope it will go a long way towards helping with your project. If you have feedback on what else could be added to make these helpfiles more useful, please let us know!

I would start with “ROMs and BIOSes” and then check out “Thumbnails” and “Accessing the Lakka Filesystem” as well.

If you still have questions at that point, you’d be welcome to post here in the forums.

It sounds like your questions are more around hardware choices - would that be right?
