WIZARD OF WOR (1980) (MIDWAY)

Older versions of these came with shaders like modified crt shaders that looked really nice, but I didn’t find those when looking through dropboxes, are those still available?
Hi there and welcome to the forum!
I’m not sure about the original shader presets distributed with some of the graphics, I’ll let the vertical arcade crew respond to this.
But one option is to use the Mega Bezel which can take an image and place & scale the screen into position.
Here’s a couple examples with vertical graphics.
Links to the shader package and examples package are at the start of the thread. The neo Geo last blade & magic sword examples are in the examples package.
There’s already a version ahead of this. All I did was just replicating the art for experience.

I just wanted to thank all the contributors in this thread for the amazing work that’s being done for this format! I am so inspired by this I’m personally building a verticle cabinet just to utilize these amazing overlays.
It’s also so cool that they are being done in 4K. The attention to detail and high-quality control coupled with the reflection shaders has made this project truly magical! I currently have a 50 inch 1080p LCD in vertical mode just running all the previews in a slideshow to enjoy while I design and build the cabinet in my space time.
I also wanted to share for anyone new to this thread, if you want to get these up and running quickly. Using the MAME Layout .lay files in retroarch works perfectly. Just unzip the MAME versions into the “layouts” folder in retroarch. Then just select the one you want. This also allows you the select the multiple views that some support like larger screens. This only works in GL driver on my system.
Settings -> On Screen Display -> Video Overlays -> Browse to .lay file
For screen rotation: Set it in your operating system settings to portrait mode and in retroarch: First, enable advanced options in the menu, then: Settings -> Video -> Output -> Screen Orentation -> 90 Degs
Then all done. No more messing or fiddling with the Overlay options. Save the Game preset in the config.
