BT Connecting but not Pairing - wireless dualshock controller

Hi I’m new to this community and software. I really love it though and I’m only beginning to scratch the surface. I have been playing around with it for a couple of days and decided to try and connect and configure my PS3 controller today. Everything appears to go smoothly except it seems the device never pairs (See output below). After performing the steps below, when I navigate to Input, the key bindings for User 1 on the autoconfig side resemble a PS3 controller (Cross, Circle, Triangle, Square etc…). The Port doesn’t register as PS3 though, and none of the bottons seem to register as input when pressed (basic navigation etc…). The process I followed are at (http://www.lakka.tv/doc/Wireless-Dualshock/). Maybe describing the sequence of events and how quickly you have to do them to pair will help… i seemed to get varying results depending on the speed at which I pressed the center PS3 button following inserting the USB cord connected to the computer. Also, as you’ll notice, I seemed to get the Modalias: usb / UUIDs output before the agent authorization request (yes/no). In the instructions the agent authorization came first, then the other information.

Anyways, at the end of the day wired joypads will suffice, but it would be nice to have wireless. Any help, or guidance would be most appreciative. Oh and I changed the input driver to hid, but i didn’t know what I was doing just testing different configurations.

Unfortunately that did not work. A couple of funny things I noticed in the output/procedure

Notice at Authorize Service step… instead of creating a new line the prompt for yes/no writes over the existing portion of the text. I’ve seen it both ways and tried with pair both ways with no luck. I’m not sure why that happens.
Following this step the instructions on Lakka.tv show: # connect 00:26:43:C4:39:47 then an output regarding the Modalias and UUIDs, but in the output I get… i see that text after plugging in the USB cord, and before the Authorization Service Step… again, I’m not sure if that is normal or what, but I just wanted to point that out.

The text above shows the things that seemed odd or different than the Lakka guide. A couple of questions below about timing/expectations.

Should the pairing be instantenous (relatively) or can it take a little a moment.
Is the PIN 0000? This is what I read online about the dualshock controller, but maybe it is incorrect.

I will of course keep digging, and I am also always appreciative of any advice or suggestions. Thank you.
