Can I boot Lakka directly on a CRT TV through a PC with VGA output?

Hello,

I would like to use Lakka over a CRT TV, is it possible? Can it configured in Lakka?

Do I need a VGA-SCART converter to adapt 31 khz VGA output from PC to 15 khz SCART input on the CRT TV? I have seen there is a converter called Kensei that said:

"Kenzei is a “Sync Combiner device”, which basically merges H and V Sync signals in a VGA video source and then creates a single C-Sync video signal required for some upscalers like X-RGB and some monitor displays.

Kenzei has a VGA (HD15) female connectorfor the video input and RCA Stereo jacks for the audio input. It outputs video through female Euro Scart connector and separate RCA jacks (RGBS). Scart provides stereo output too.

Scart to RCA RGBS or vice versa pass-through conversion so you can connect a scart cable to the Kenzei to get separate RCA RGBS outputs for connecting to a monitor/converter (e.q Sony PVM), opposite is also possible."

Must I use something like that to can boot Lakka on a CRT TV?

Greetings.

My PC outputs in VGA and HDMI so I went ahead and used one of these to connect it to a CRT TV from the HDMI output:

It works pretty well. I noticed that it gets the aspect ratio better when I set the Lakka resolution to 720P instead of 1080P. I had to modify the Lakka CRG file to do that.

Hi, that device is an option but with low image quality. I would like to use the SCART input of the TV for a proper image quality.

Greetings.
