Can I replace lakka system font? Just like CHINESE WIN10 TTF FONT because I am in GUI choose chinse language and I get guare frame just like this

Hi,

You can change menu font via Setting Tab > User Interface > Menu > Menu Font.

You need to upload your font on Lakka.

You can check also this page about RetroArch in Chinese.

In xmb setting icon , Is not have User Interface menu

but in Menu have a ShowAdvanced Settings , and I choose ON

so, I can find xmb setting – UserInterface

only have 2 menu in it , A: Don’t run in background B: Disable Desktop Composition there is not have Menu Font

only on xmb – setting — OnScreenDisplay have a font choose , now I choose a font from win10 Deng.ttf

unfortunately if I resetting language to chinese, all text gone…

We have other ways？

Supplement …

I used this Lakka-H3.opione.arm-devel-20161221203721-r21729-g274b40f.img file

and put ttf font in /storage/assets/xmb/monochrome is not good, only xmb normal, onscreen text still have guare frame if you choose none-default gui, you will be insane

I made a mistake and forgot to tell you to enable Advanced settings.

There is currently a bug that prevent to select a font with the xmb menu.

But you can try to replace the xmb menu font, if you copy your font to /tmp/assets/xmb/retroactive as font.ttf for retroactive theme.

We are currently working to port Lakka to LibreELEC so it will be great if you can test our build.

unfortunately I copy ttf font to /tmp/assets/xmb/retroactive and choose retroactive theme still have same problem

New version have same problem ：-（

GUI can display right , but onscreen display text still have rectangle box

But new version emulator look faster , That’s very nice!

and I found dmnfrnt.zip is still not be identify
but use manual Load Content — Start Directory ---- choose dmnfrnt.zip file ---- Load Archive — choose FBA can run it

Good to know it is working better.

There is maybe an issue with OSD font. I am not sure it is using the same menu font as we can change it also.

Please check the documentation for the arcade games.

Hello

Try to upload your font in /storage/assets/xmb/retroactive/font.ttf

Then do:

systemctl stop retroarch nano .config/retroarch/retroarch.cfg

Set video_font_path = /storage/assets/xmb/retroactive/font.ttf

Then

systemctl start retroarch
