Can't change colour of menu theme

Hi

I can’t change the colour of Monochrome XMB theme to Electric Blue! It stays Red no matter what colour I choose.

When I installed Lakka on USB pen this theme colour changed and suddenly I can’t change the colour. This happened when I was checking other themes/colours to choose. However I find that Monochrome/Electric Blue is my favourite but it stays red!

i have all menu effects turned off for better performance since my laptop is old/slow.

Thanks for any help solving this.

Are you using dynamic wallpaper which display a joypad for each system ?

Could it be related to this issue report? https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/5174

Thank you for your answers!

Yes it is related to that issue! When I turn the menu shaders (with ribbon effect simplified) on I can change colours! I have all that options turned off because of my low specs. How much is performance affected with this options turned on during gameplay? I will be testing with the shaders on.

Any way to get around this with the shaders off?

The way the system works currently is that when there is a static image which is part of each theme. You could color shift the image to the color you want outside of RetroArch.

How do I do that? I’m no Computer Wizard  I’m using Lakka on live USB to boot from on a laptop with LinuxLite distro (ubuntu) and I’m a noob to system too.

It recently became much easier to ‘override’ an image like this, by connecting to the Lakka box over the network.

Unfortunately there is no documentation of this process yet. I have just opened an Issue with the hopes that the process you need can be written up soon. Here’s the Issue if you’d like to keep an eye on it as well: https://github.com/libretro/Lakka-LibreELEC/issues/211
