Hello! I have stumbled across yet another problem :-/
This time, the ROM won’t boot! The screen just goes black for a second and the menu pops up again! 
I have Japan and USA BIOS (missing Europe ones), I have placed them inside system/Mednafen PSX and I have verified the files using the hashes in the wiki and renamed them… The ROM which I am trying to run is from Japan.

Turns out that I missed the important part, I need to place the BIOS in the /system folder, not in the Mednafen PSX folder 
Do you keep the ROM file as a zip or unzip it to bin/cue?
Use not ah Zip the Pi will freeze with more files i Have bin Cue in more Folders… When you make all files in ah folder will freeze by seach
So unzip to bin/cue and put in a folder called PS1 or the like?
yes make subfolder with max 10 files search all folder seperat
Hello SteelCityJJ, I currently have my PSX Roms stored as BIN/CUE in this folder: /roms/PSX/<name of the game>
But I am thinking of switching to ZIP to save some drive space 
P.S I am using a PC!

if you’re still having trouble i would recommend using build: Lakka-Generic.i386-devel-20160503154845-r21429-g9e4f0ee <-- this works perfectly for me, all roms work!
Why? Just make sure that the BIOS is available…
