Controller Concept?

Hi I want to try Lakka on my Wetek Play before I buy some controllers. I’ve got a Mele F10 Deluxe USB wireless control. This works out of the box somehow, but key layout is a little bit odd.

btw, is there a difference between Lakka menu navigation and playing games?

L/R U/D and OK is fine, but the cancel key (B button?) is placed on backspace which is on the back of the remote so I have to turn it over every time I want to exit a menu. I would like to have the android back button for this. I tried setting User 1 B button to back on the remote, but this does not work. Nothing happens.

what about the lakka controller concept do I miss?

there are two modes for menu control via keyboard: standard mode which puts ‘accept’ on ‘enter’’ and ‘cancel’ on ‘backspace’ and “unified menu control” mode (available in settings > input), which puts ‘accept’ on retropad-A and ‘cancel’ on retropad-B.

You mean it is recognized as a keyboard instead of a joypad?

Well, it is a keyboard.

Ok, enable advanced settings in the menu settings. then in the input settings, there is an option to use X and Z instead of Enter and Backspace.

The Menu Entry “unified menu controls” did what you describe. But this does not help much as now I can use the arrows on the front of the remote and XZ on the back. So I still have to turn it up over continuously.
