Does Lakka need an existing Linux OS?

Hey all, I’m trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my Lakka install! I have many forums going about my troubles and questions but my major problem is located on another one of my forum posts located here:

My question is this, Does Lakka need an existing OS on the hard drive and if so can you point me in the direction to go about getting it or what would be a good base OS. I currently only have Lakka on there (via a bootable flash drive) and am really struggling with this one! If you could either help me here or on my other post that would be awesome!

Thanks! Dennarah

IIRC you need one partition at least so that the installer can work.

Anyways, first try the live usb boot to see if it works then you can do an installation.

If you want use a nightly build, unzip it then you can use Rufus with option Create bootable disk with DD Image.
