Doom config bug?

Reposting from another sub forum:

When using prboom/doom, I can select a video shader, hit apply and everything looks great. However, if I save the config settings, reload the game, and then load the saved config file, I now get uneven pixel scaling, which looks terrible. I’m confused because prior to quitting everything looks good - on the title screen for example, the text looks perfect. After quitting and reloading the config file, the text looks like a mess, with pixels of unequal size/shape.

Clearly, some of the video settings are being altered when I load the config file that are not altered prior to quitting RA. I just don’t know what it could be- integer scale is on, crop overscan is off.

Any ideas?

To replicate the problem:

-load prboom/doom -select a video shader and hit apply settings -observe that everything is scaled perfectly -save a new config file -exit RA -reload prboom/doom -load the saved config file -observe uneven/imperfect pixel scaling

Try toggling fullscreen, both when it looks right and when it looks wrong, and see if it changes anything. It may be creating the context incorrectly or something…

The problem went away after a system crash in which I had to reinstall everything. It might have been a read/write problem with my sd card.

Weird. Oh well, whatever works :stuck_out_tongue:
