OK, my first “real” attempt at vector graphics, trying to make a gradient-type bezel. Didn’t turn out too bad - a bit too red at the top, and the outer square should have standard corners & the inner was supposed to be rounded
I see that you changed the Alt to Monitor so that you could use Alt for the Japanese version instead of [Japan]. It looks better naming and makes more sense that way.
Your telling me. I didn’t even know that bezel size is what controlled the size of the reflection.
I can’t figure out how to scale the screen for the life of me.
Edit: I can scale using crt screen scaling but can’t get the device layer and screen to be the right size.
Nevermind. I think I figured it out.
[Extended CRT Screen Scaling]
Non-Integer Scale Offset: 96.00
[Bezel General]
Width: 115
Height: 75
[Decal Layer]
Position Y: -3.60
[Device Image Layer]
Scale: 105
Edit: Forgot to mention that this started to piss me off. The main reason being that I couldn’t get the screen and “bezel” to scale properly with CRT Screen Scaling.
Edit 3: Fixed some of the settings.
Believe me,
it was worse before I added the LEDs. (Which I did, even though the screen covers them. )
You need to change the Device layer inherited scale to “Full” first, scale the screen, then change the Device inherited scale back to “Tube” or “Bezel” and scale it to match.
Thanks for mentioning that, I intended to and forgot.
Honestly when I did it, I did it backwards. I set the Device inherited scale to “Tube” first then changed scale, and then changed Screen Scaling.
They are versions of my first few graphics that have no logo. I did them by request.
I haven’t done any plain presets but the images are there if anyone wants to swap the image path.
The requests for plain versions faded away as the project progressed.
@Duimon Hello sir, truly epic bezels man. I use nothing but these currently and they really make a huge difference. Thank you, for all your hard work. I did notice however that after updating the bezels to your newest set, i have a few systems that display the bezel mirrored? n64 and sega saturn do this to me but others work perfect. Any insight on why this is happening? I did a fresh install this time since the file structure was changed, and also a fresh install of HSM. Not sure what i did to make them show up mirrored like that
It would make sense for those plain versions popularity to fade. Thanks @Duimon. I made the parameters for the Dreamcast I wanted with your work.
Edit: I turned them into Alt2 in the Presets folder to keep them clean with the others.
That is an old issue, that I thought was resolved. Try updating your version if RetroArch.
In any case I will take a look.
@Duimon I am using the most recent version v1.9.14. The previous presets worked perfect, they were using the old structure and different preset settings. I checked the differences between them and tried to restore the old one into the new structure but didn’t try very hard before coming here to see if its a simple fix. Ill mess around with it some more, i didnt mess with anything aside from disabling the intro.
There is a parameter to flip the viewport. Are you using mupen and flycast?
Is the files going from …/ to :/shader or the other way around? I am just asking because I use Linux so every time there is :/shader I have to change it to …/. :/shader sends it some weird Temp folder that I think doesn’t exist anymore on my system.
To put my 2 cents in real quick on the mirror problem. When it happens to cores on mine I say screw it and just set the Flip Vertical parameter to 1.
Everything in my repo should be …/ etc. Let me know if you find any of the old syntax.
