@Duimon that day I tried to do what you told me about the Wii using Dolphin and I can’t do it in retroarch
I already made the wii work, was it a file that I was missing, the wii is originally 4:3?
Most Wii games are 16:9 but there are some that only use 4:3
More accurately, most Wii games support 16:9 aspect, and some only support 4:3, but all Wii games support 4:3. On a real Wii you have to set the aspect in the Wii options.
So if you want all your games to be played in a correct aspect, and don’t want to mess with game overrides, use 4:3.
I use 16:9.
Looking good so far. I never really saw any Apple products since it was all Windows at my house.
Don’t know if it matters but I found that the JAKKS preset folder is misspelled, JAAKS.
It’s not just the preset folders (All of them.) but the presets as well.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll fix it ASAP.
This is pretty cool!
I managed to find a GS/OS 6.0.1 HDD image and figured out how to mount it in the MAME core.
Unlike the Apple OS it was designed to run classic software, kind of like Windows 3.0.
(You can click on an executable and it will boot into the software on the fly and return to the GS/OS when it is closed.)
Of course it can’t do multiple “DOS” applications or windows. (Funny… they used a Microsoft “DOS” as the kernel too. )
Also interesting, they were trying to eliminate screen curvature even then. The “Border” is intentional and the color can be chosen in the Control Panels.
The Woz is in the repo, and JAKKS are fixed.
Doh! You are correct. It is up now.
I have done that myself.
Here is a new WIP.
The Acorn Archimedes A3000!
There is still a LOT of work to be done. I haven’t started on the upper venting yet.
For these vintage systems it is always hard to figure out what color of ABS to create.
The question is how much of the color in source images is due to yellowing.
In this case I was thankfully restricted in my choices. The reason being that one of the monitors used for the system was a rebranded Philips CM8833.
The Amiga 1040S was also a rebranded Philips CM8833.
Since I have already done the 1084S I needed to make the colors match.
All that is needed is some branding.
I am sure you will figure it out, like always. Good luck on the venting, like you said it’s going to take a decent amount of work.
Here is where the Archimedes is at.
The vents were a lot of fun. I’m not sure it is my best work but it looks good.
I still need to do the power and disk LEDs, the keyboard characters, and a serious OCD pass.
Good job dude, it looks really good.
