I can replicate the issue by saving a core preset. I have no idea what is wrong.
I am AFK right now but I have yet to try browsing to the core preset and loading it.

Hey Team I moved from Hyperspin to Retrobat Were can I find this setting to change it manually in a file please ; it seems that I don’t have access to same settings using Retrobat Thanks in advance for your help !!
You will have to ask in the Retrobat Discord.
We have no control over what version of Retroarch they use, so no info on the shader version.
It has been a parameter for a long while now though.
The parameter is…
post_br = "1.00"
The default value is shown and it can go up to 5.00 and down to 0.00.
If I browse to the “config\ Beetle Lynx\Beetle Lynx.slangp” and open it… it properly switches to vertical.
I have tested other cores that use the same wildcard and none display the same symptom.
My conclusion is that it is a “core” issue not a “shader” one. Maybe something about “When” the core requests the rotation.
It also doesn’t seem to be anything recent. I tested with three older versions of the core back to 2020-8-14.
Whoops! …
I have no idea what you’re referencing.
In that case I don’t think there’s much more we can do right now.
Maybe you can add a standalone vertical preset in your next release. That way we can save a shader preset per game basis. It will solve the problem for the vertical games for now.
Yeah that’s what I’ll have to do. It won’t be the only core that has this need, (The WonderSwan only have manual rotation.) and it will give the user the choice to use Handy as well.
For now I’ll just do away with the wildcards for the lynx.
I have some other things I’m working on but I’ll get it done ASAP.
BTW. The best way to handle these situations is to put vertical games in a separate rom folder and use content directory presets.
Just trying to understand the Bezel Project “add-on” you did. Does this also work for Arcade, or is just Systems? Would like to use realistic arcade bezels in the Retroarch cores with Mega-Bezel (Mame or FB-Neo cores)
Thanks
It will work with “most” Bezel Project overlays because they use the same “bezels” for every overlay. So it will work with their arcade overlays. This was more or less the intent.
If you are asking if it is possible, the answer is yes. @Orionsangel uses the Mega Bezel with all of his newer work.
Will it work OTB, the answer is no. The bezels in my “addon” are designed to hide only Bezel Project bezels.
With other overlay collections you will have to treat each overlay individually. Even my “Orionsangel-Original-Console” “addon” had to be tweaked for each overlay, and they were all very similar.
I got them working, thanks for that, however they don’t look anywhere near as nice as your default “Arcade” bezel. For example there isn’t enough depth for the reflections to work (it doesn’t even look like they are). I guess at best it’s doing the CRT scanline effects, but all the pretty stuff is missing. So I will go back to yours I think
@akuma22 will soon be releasing (fingers crossed) a set of arcade manufacturer presets. So you have that to look forward to.
As Duimon said, I will release my work soon, and my work is based on Duimon’s graphics
By the way, I don’t remember who that user was who told me that he didn’t like the controls below because he already had his arcade control in front of the screen, well, I have also created another pack with all the graphics but without the controls below so that Everyone can choose if they want them to be seen or not, there are also some more extras but I’m saving them for when I release everything
One side effect I seem to be having, is that the artwork in MAME seems to have grown (it used to be just backdrops but now seems to include bezels).
The problem is I want the backdrops (for things like Asteroids etc) but not the bezels as they conflict / clash with MegaBezel.
Is there a quick solution you’re aware of?
The Bezel Project automatically sets overlay configurations and settings. It is why my guide says to use a temporary installation and copy the files over.
Make sure you have overlays disabled.
If you need to change the setting, make sure that “Save settings on exit” is enabled, and exit RetroArch through the menu gracefully.
Alternatively, you can manually edit the line in your retroarch.cfg from
input_overlay_enable = "true"
to
input_overlay_enable = "false"
Hmm, there seems to be something very doo going on now with rotation. This is the MAME core running without your shader on 1942 which is vertical
and then this happens if I apply the Arcade shader
:confused
OMG…these are amazing! When will you be releasing these for download?
Soon, I am currently testing the vertical graphics, if everything goes well and no problems arise next week there is a good chance that I will publish it.
It’s almost there but I want to test it very well because my intention is not to update.
Any chance of getting Arcade and MVS without graphics for the controls? Bezels look amazing.
If you are referring to my work, the answer is YES, my work consists of two packs, one with controls and the other without controls.
