That’s some dedication! I wish you the best of luck. Personally, even if I’m using cores other than MAME, I’ll probably just stick to the MAME one as that’s basically the catch-all version. Having more variety is always nice though. Are you planning on releasing them bit by bit? Or are you going to wait until you’re done with all of them to release them?
I will go up it little by little, but first I want to have everything much more advanced and more polished, as soon as I have the mame and the final burn I will go much faster.
When I have some companies done I will start launching, the first ones I will do are Namco, Irem, Sega and Konami as well as cps1, cps2 and cps3 from capcom.
I have to make a list of companies that I am going to do.
Hey everyone!
Thanks to yesterday’s shader update I was able to complete work on my WonderSwan set. They, the GBA_SP, and the Amstrad GX4000 stuff are all in the repo.
Some shots, including the requisite PVM’s for the GX4000 and the HSV Advanced for the GBA_SP.
There are both Vertical and Horizontal presets for the WonderSwan, so you can easily create Content Directory presets.
Here is a shot of a Generic PDP-1 Graphic WIP for 4x3 systems.
Of course the lamps are not animated.
I’ve done my best to make the screen look vintage.
It is also impossible to normally move the screen this far to the left. I had to use some more Dual Screen trickery.
Just awesome! Need all CPS systems! Hope will be available soon
Although I still have a LOT of work left to do on the PDP-1 Spacewar! graphic. I did a bit more work and decided it was far enough along to do a serious 4x3 version.
Since the lamps don’t depend on any MAME output, I moved them around to more accurately reflect the real PDP-1 placement.
(I still may change some internal MAME code to make this possible in the Spacewar! version. If I do this I will release a custom core that will probably only have the PDP1 driver, and a custom name and info file.)
I finished work on the Paper Tape Punch and Tape Rack. I also lowered the saturation of the blue components in order to allow a hefty contrast adjustment in Photoshop. It just makes things stand out a lot better. I carried this through to my Spacewar! graphic.
It seems likely people will want a vertical version of this also and the outer bezel curvature does weird things when you rotate the screen. If I manage to get it looking good enough I will release a vertical preset.
It is likely I will have to make some changes to the bezel shape.
The way it stands now the monitor can be scaled.
Well, I have already finished what is Mame and Final Burn, I proceed to put some screenshots of what are already final versions, first of all I want to clarify several points.
-
I will not create any separate publication, the material is from Duimon I have only used it so I will publish here everything I do in this post.
-
My work can be considered an addon or expansion for the Duimon project, everyone is free to use it if they want.
-
My work does not replace that of Duimon, I have organized it so that you can choose my shaders or those of Duimon, I will give more details soon, basically my shaders will be in folders called Mame_Alt and FBA_Alt
-
I do not recommend playing vertical games with final burn, better mame, final burn has problems with vertical configurations, it is not a serious thing but it is quite cumbersome.
I leave the captures of the normal versions with their night versions too, I recommend the night versions as always
Now I leave a couple of screenshots of the alternative versions for those who want something more elegant and less ornate (which is not my case )
Finally to say that I have improved everything I could, colors, renders, even the background I have remastered to increase the resolution and quality.
I will continue working and now that I have predefined templates I will go much faster, when I have a lot advanced I will begin to release it, while I will show everything that is progressing around here.
I love it, if you do the spacewar thing here you have a volunteer to try it.
PS: I really like the night version
You can already try the Spacewar! game, if I make any changes it will just affect the color and placement of the lamps.
Where can we download them?
Man, your arcade set is all I needed. I really hope to see MSX and MSX2.
And congratulations on your always beautiful work. Thanks!
Here, in this same post, I will leave the links, what I cannot do is give a date because I still have to continue working.
They are #6 and #7 on my current list. ColecoVision is next.
Colecoooooooooooooooooooooooo powaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!
Something about my 4x3 PDP-1 screenshots looked off. The monitor was still moved to the left quite a bit.
That’s better.
I have added HD-CORE reference presets to…
- Nintendo_Gamecube
- Nintendo_N64
- Nintendo_Wii
- PVM_PVM20
- PVM_TM20
- SEGA_Dreamcast
- SEGA_Naomi
- SONY_Playstation
- SONY_Playstation_2
and the Guest versions of…
- Nintendo_3DS
- Nintendo_NDS
Both Standard and Advanced.
Let me know if I missed any that could use this.
If you have the MAME one done, can you post that one at least while you work on the others? If you’d rather not, that’s understandable. Great work, by the way. They look really nice. Offering dark versions was a nice touch.
Patience, in less than two weeks you will have the final burn, mame and much more.
