Emulation Tips & Tricks added to the Lakka Wikki

Hi folks!,

I just added a new page to the Lakka Wiki https://github.com/libretro/Lakka/wiki/Emulation-Tips-&-Tricks

On the new page you will find two tables, the first one is about the bios files needed by the Lakka emulators. The second table is about the rom filename extension used by the emulators. Both tables are order by SYSTEM so you can easily find the bios of the system that you want to emulate and the rom filename extension used.

Remember, you have to find and search each ROM and BIOS on internet. Lakka does not include any BIOS or Commercial ROMs.

Enjoy

Why exactly do I need a BIOS? I tried NES emulation and it works without a BIOS.

BIOS aren’t required for all systems. Many older systems don’t need one.

But what happens when I add the disksys.rom file for NES. Will this change something?

That’s just for the famicom disk system games, I think, so unless you’re playing one of those games, no, you won’t see any difference at all. I’m not sure if some/all of the NES cores come with an HLE BIOS for FDS or not.
