Found a old IMG

Hi. Searching my DVD backups I found a Lakka image from 2015, X86.

Now I want to retry to run this.

So my question is: How do I ‘inject’ ROMs and BIOSes to the image? I can’t open it with UltraISO or Daemon Tools.

I want to create a “All in One” image, you know, something I can just boot from a USB and play, no hunting for ROMs or BIOSes and not writing any data to any drive except for the boot drive. I want to turn any PC into a old console without any risk of breaking something :smirk:

It will be cool for boring office days and for using someone else’s PC

Also, what are the tools used to create the Lakka bootable drive? I found “Win32DiskImager” next to the image, so I assume that’s the program used for it, but I would like to know about other alternatives.

win32diskimager works, yeah.

Dunno why you would want to run a version from 4 years ago, but it should be fine. Once it’s imaged, you’ll need to boot it once, but then plug it into a PC and it should mount 2 partitions, one of which is has all of the system stuff and the other is where you put your ROMs and BIOSes.
