GPU requirements for CRT-Geom + taxing cores

Hey everybody!

I am thinking purchasing a GeForce GTX 750 Ti for playing under RetroArch.

The CPU is a E8400 (Core 2 Duo). I am interesting in stacking the cgwg CRT (geom) shader on top of every game I play (Goldeneye 007, Gran Turismo, Super Metroid, etc.)

WIll the system be powerful enough to have sound&audio synchronised on a 1080p integer-scaled with the crt-geom, concerning the most taxing cores (mednafed psx for example)? WIll the GPU bottleneck? How safe am I?

Thanks in advance, twipley

The GPU should be fine. IIRC, crt-geom works at 1080p on an intel hd4000, which is less than 1/3 as powerful as a 750 ti, so you should be set. I think the CPU should be good in general, though it won’t get full speed with the angrylion plugin on mupen (though nothing else does either, AFAIK).

My htpc has geforce 430 gt and works well with crt-geom-flat.cg as well as crt-hyllian-glow. Same with my previous 450 gets that may at least work with crt-royale.
