HDMI to RCA problem

So i had to purchase an HDMI to RCA because my laptop only has HDMI out and my tv only has RCA (the yellow, red, white cables) but when i use it, the tv screen “rolls”… im not sure how to descirbe it. The picture moves from the top down over and over… I think its the “vsync”. I changed the vsync to false, but that didnt do anything.
on my other laptop running windows i had to change the output adaptor to 60hz and then it works. How can i make this change on lakka?

You can try setting video_refresh_rate to 60.0 in your retroarch.cfg.

it doesnt seem to make any difference no matter what refresh rate i use.

so i changed this video_fullscreen_x = “720” video_fullscreen_y = “480”

and it fixed the scrolling over and over problem… however, its in black and white. Also… the games are in like fast forward!!! what could this be?

I ended up just deleting the retroarch.cfg and starting over…
this fixed the speed problem. It seems like it was stuck in “fast forward” mode for some reason… not sure why. The video fix still stands by changing my resolution to that.

Only problem now is that my color is all black and white. I know that it is not the HMDI to RCA converter, because if i connect it to my other laptop there is color.
