This might sound like a very dumb question and I also feel kinda stupid for failing to install Lakka at such an early stage… but I figured I should just ask before wasting any more time on something like this.
I managed to get to the boot loader screen. I also figured out that you can select different options by pressing esc or space bar. But how do I select it now? :'D I mean as in ‘confirm’. I already tried to click all the keys on my keyboard (Tab, Enter etc.) and pressed every button on my controller! I even tried plugging in an external keyboard (I want to install Lakka on an old Laptop) but same result. It seems like the only way I can get into Lakka is not pressing anything and Lakka automatically runs in Live mode after 5 seconds but I want to permanently install it on the laptop

If you need to install it, just type installer then press Enter 
First, thanks for your reply! But it doesn’t seem to work. I get to the boot loader screen. I press ‘esc’ to select ‘run installer’. The countdown disappears. I click the > i < key to type ‘installer’ and then what I get is a black screen with ‘boot: blinking underscore’ in the left upper corner.
So I downloaded it and all and now I have a screen with a flower and in the upper left corner it says: PARTITION RESIZING IN PROGRESS Please do not reboot or turn off your Lakka device! Checking layout… / It has been like that for 2 hours and I haven’t gotten to the boot loader screen yet. Is that normal? Is it installing Lakka?
On which device are you running Lakka ?
