How to load a custom palette nes?

Hi! I kindly wanted to know how to load a custom nes palette for mesen core,i have downloaded a palette and i put it in the folder system calling it custom.pal also restarting the core but nothing happened,What should I do to load the palette correctly?

You’re in the right location, but the file needs to be named MesenPalette.pal.
