Not sure what I did, I was messing around with some hotkey buttons trying to get to the menu and now my keyboard doesn’t act like a keyboard, instead it is mapped to the controller configuration. How do i return the keyboard configuration back to the normal keyboard and not mapped for abxy etc.
There is an option in the input menu for keyboard mapping. It sets the keyboard controls to in game controls when navigating the menus. Turn it off and it should be fine
For reference, the option is in settings > input and it’s called ‘unified menu controls’
great thanks @nmh322 and @hunterk, I think I was playing around with that option to try and get my n64 controller mapping to work properly in game. Does that affect in game controls at all?
No, it just makes the menu controls bind to the retropad keyboard controls instead of backspace/enter.
Are you using an actual N64 pad? If so, the best way to get your controls set up is to use ParaLLEl-N64 core and enable the “independent C-buttons” (or whatever it’s called) core option. That will make all of the N64 buttons moveable in the ‘controls’ remapping menu, so you can just move them wherever you need to make it work.
Perfect, i’ll change that setting when I get home. I got my N64 controller to work with my mayflash adapter for proper button mapping, however I am having issues with the joystick.
