Hummingboard doesn't Boot

Hi there, I’ve downloaded the newest release for the Hummingboard and wrote it to a SD card via Windows and MacOS, but the board doesn’t start up. I’ve tested armbian, which runs great only to be sure that the board itself isn’t damaged. Thanks

What does it mean “doesn’t start up” ? You got black screen ?

The latest nightly build from 10th April ?

It seems the imx6 port has some issue.

Yeah, I think that’s the case. I’ve found that thread after I had posted this. I’ll try to update and give some report. Thank you for your help.

Yep, same issue here. After updating, black screen.

Can you try to backup your file and reflash your device with the latest nightly build not just update it ?

I just tried that build as a clean install and had the same issues.

Try this one please : http://static.kivutar.me/Lakka-imx6.arm-devel-20160425172018-r21416-ga9ae092-cuboxi.img.gz

I still have the same issue.

I’m sorry, same issue there. I assume that there was some kind of change since the version of February.

Yes, the changes were adding the UDOO support.

We are close to a solution, I think.

It maybe seems a little lightminded, but is it possible to remove the support again?

I would be the first time that we remove the support for a board intentionnally.

Don’t worry, I will continue searching until I get it fixed.

Here is a new image: http://static.kivutar.me/Lakka-imx6.cuboxi.arm-devel-20160425222139-r21416-ga9ae092.img.gz

We’re getting closer, I think. Now I can see resizing the SD card, but after the reboot same issue as before  Many thanks for your help, Kivutar (y)

Ok, at least the bootloader issue is fixed. Now I suspect a dtb issue.

Just to be sure that it’s not because of this… could you override this file in your first partition please? http://static.kivutar.me/u-boot.img

What can I say. It works!!! I’ve replaced the file with yours and it worked instantly. Many thanks!!!

Thank you. Now I need to understand why the u-boot.img I generate is wrong, while still allowing to boot, and fix it.

The other tester here http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5219&page=3 said that he was able to see RetroArch with the image you tried http://static.kivutar.me/Lakka-imx6.cuboxi.arm-devel-20160425222139-r21416-ga9ae092.img.gz without having to override the u-boot.img.

Could you try again please?

That’s odd, you’re right. I’ve tried it again and it worked.

Ok, thanks.
