I hop this is the right place to ask re core psx

I’ve been trying to play the game GT2 but I have been getting bad graphical glitches when other cars are in view. I started off by changing random settings but nothing in the quick menu seemed to fix it.

what I have found is if i launch the game by >main menu> load content > Gran Turismo> and select “PCSX ReARMed” the game seems to run fine. And if I select Bettle PSX HW loading the game the same way it has the glitches.

one of the ways I tried to fix it by going into lakka>playlists> and opened the file Sony - PlayStation.lpl (using notepad++) and edited the line - PlayStation (Beetle PSX HW) and changed it to PlayStation (PCSX-ReARMed) but this seems to have done nothing ?

Can anyone tell me how to change the emulator for this one game? Its driving me nuts! cheers

System info - windows 10 laptop with a i think a 6th gen i5 and 8 gig of ram Lakka 64bit is installed on an 8 gig usb stick (usb2)

You have the right idea, you’re just changing the wrong line. You need to change the line that points to the actual core library. I don’t know the specific path on Lakka, but it’ll be something that ends in *.so.

Btw, you might be better off switching to beetle-psx (that is, non-HW) instead of pcsx-rearmed, which is intended for ARM devices and may have unexpected behavior on x86/64 hardware.

Thanks Hunterk, I’ve not had chance to have a play around with it yet but thanks for the tips.
