Intel NUC5CPYH crash on menu, also crash after 2 minute playing 64 games

Hi,

I have a problem with this fantastic frontend, somehow it crashes randomly on the menu

my system is

Intel NUC5CPYH SSD kingston 248 GB 4 GB kingston

I also try to run lakka from USB, same luck

I can play games, but if I try to play 64 games, any games, the system hangs and I have to reboot it

both problems are related to video card? do I have to replace my NUC?

Your NUC should be fine but we’ll need a log to know what’s going on.

I used the 64 and 32 bit version and keep the same problem

It hangs when I use the menu, and also when I play heavy games like N64 ones

Maybe a video problem?

It crashes randomly, most of the time while I’m in the menu, I have to power of the NUC and restart

But, it happens ALWAYS when I play N64 games, I can not play more than 2 minutes, I can see the games run fantastic anyways

I can play SNES games without problems, but when I get back to the menu it crashes while I’m selecting another game or just in the menu

I’ve change the disk and RAM of the NUC, same problem

I’ve installed the last 32 bit version of Lakka, it seems to crash less

I hope there is a solution for this, I really like the software, where I can donate for your work?

You should use 64 bits versions as we have some issue with n64 core on i386.

Please try to make a test with 64 bits version it will work better for your case.

I’ve changed the 32 bit version for the 64 bit one, it happens the same problem, no matter what I do

the system crashes on menu, could be a video problem maybe?

Your Intel NUC should be well supported. It happens only with N64 core ? What about PSX core ? SNES core ?

And you made a test with video_monitor_index = 1 in the configuration file right ?

I haven’t tried the PSX core, the Snes core runs perfect, the problem still in the menu, most of the cases when I get back from a game, but sometimes when I just change the options without play

I did change the video mode, it seems to crash less

Got similar issues on my nuc… sucks

I think it is something related with the video driver, do you have the same model?

I got the one with n3050 in it. It just freezes at random. Emulation itself isn’t that bad… just won’t allow me to play long enough to enjoy it. Bought the thing second hand. It’s a slow piece of tech but the menu’s were allot more responsive then a rpi3.
