Intel onboard GPU compatibility

First off, I seriously love Lakka. I am using it with my arcade cabinet and it works awesome so far.

I have actually installed it on a big desktop PC with the following config:

Asus P5K-VM Intel C2D E6550 Intel GMA 3100

This works as it should, no problems at all. As it’s a rather big desktop I’ve bought a mini ITX PC so I could hide it inside the cab.

This is the config:

Jetway nf99fl-525 Intel Atom D525 Intel GMA 3150

Now it works fine on the first PC, on the second PC the exact same image (same hdd) won’t boot for the life of me, it keeps hanging at the flower and will not go into the menu.

Now I wonder what’s wrong with the second setup, is it incompatible? The onboard GPU chips are nearly the same…

Hopefully somebody can shed some light on this for me :slight_smile:

Is it possible to get some log about retroarch. You need to access command line interface.

Moreover, can you get the output of :

 lspci -nn | grep VGA

Thank you for your tests.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I just did as you asked and I got this result for the Mini ITX Atom system that does NOT work:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller [8 006:a001] (rev 02)

For the C2D system that DOES work:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:29c2] (rev02)

Does that mean anything to you?

Thanks!

Thank you but can you get also the log.txt file also ?

I used the direct version using my keyboard, is there a way I can get to the log without using SSH?

Take a picture or copy to usb key ?

Your device is not connected by ethernet ?

RetroArch crashed :frowning:

Is it possible to launch it again with :

 LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose retroarch --menu --verbose >> log.txt 2>&1

Thank you.

Sorry, it doesn’t get any further than that, also not with you code posted above. I also tried with one of these “>” instead of two (as it then overwrites the file I believe), but not difference. The above is the most I can get out of the log file for some reason, so it keeps crashing… :frowning:

Oh yes I forgot to change the sign > will erased the old file, >> will keep the old file and write and the end. By adding LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose, it should give you more debug information related to opengl.

Tried that, no luck unfortunately, something else I can do? :frowning:

Where is the log with ?

 LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose retroarch --menu --verbose > log.txt 2>&1

It was almost the same as what I posted earlier, but I will try again tonight…
