So ive been trying to prep my usb drive to boot and test on my hardware before I install. I would use linux on the machine but i currently do not have a hard drive to try and us a command line, and the commands given on the site dont seem to work with linux on my virtual machine. Any suggestions on what to do? Ive tried using windows with so many different linux usb building programs but none of them seem to work.
Actully now that ive tried on my third pc thats the same, it cant detect the usb as a boot for some reason even though its set in the bios. I dont get it as these are the same machines that have been running linux at my work.
Hello, try to avoid using a VM to flash the USB. The installation process works well from windows if you follow the instructions carefully.
If your key is not seen as bootable, you may have to enable USB boot in your BIOS/UEFI.
