Jagged ribbon effect

I have a custom built PC that was originally built for virtualization. But I lost interest in that so I re-purposed it into what it is now…an emulator box. It has an i7-2600s with an intel MB. Lakka is installed to mSATA drive.

Right now, I have the default ribbon effect set. It’s fine when the computer boots up. But after a day or so (No exact times), the ribbon is no longer smooth. It’s jagged. Kind of like there are separate ribbons and certain parts of the ribbon become out of sync. The longer I leave it go, the worse it gets. Restarting the computer will fix the problem. This is just a minor defect. Not a real big deal. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this, or ran into it.

Yeah, it’s a known issue that has to do with the way different GPUs calculate the noise function. The safest way to fix it would be to add a mod() function around the frame-counter, but that causes an unsightly blip when it rolls over… We probably just need to set the modulo far enough that it only occurs after like an hour or something.

Oh ok. Well, no rush to fix it. Doesn’t break the system so I don’t care that much. Thanks for the quick response.
