Sorry about the thread necro but I am having this issue as well. While attempting to install Lakka onto 2 devices. The first device I managed to get up and running though.
*** Error in mount_flash: mount_common: could not mount UUID=xxxxxx ***

While searching various topics on google, two things have stuck out to me.
-
Use a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port - This was the issue with the laptop I was testing. Lakka installed like a dream.
-
Bad media - But I already installed with this same usb drive and installation went perfect after I swapped to a 2.0 port.
I am currently trying to install to ASUS VivoPC-VM40B-02 and I am at a loss. I installed kodibuntu to just test the htpc and everything works great and I know the installation media is good.
Kinda banging my head atm so I am open to suggestions.
Thanks!
