Just curious...regarding that Asus Chromebox CN-60

If I gave you the graphics card info, could you make a nightly for based on LibreELEC 2.0 that I could possibly try that included the kernel it’s currently using that causes it to not be compatible right now? Yeah, I know, I should give up, but it’s SO much cooler than using an Odroid or a Pi 3 (image quality is better, N64/Dreamcast/PSP doesn’t choke, Bluetooth auto-syncs with my Dual Shock 3 controllers, etc.). The size, form factor, and just the fact that it’d make for a cool little emulator box. Lakka would be PERFECT for this thing.

Or do I have to send this thing to you for it to work?

Did you try to boot in live mode with Lakka 2.0 to make a test ? It should be supported as it is running Intel HD Graphics 4000/4400 .

Yup, that’s the mode I tried before I try to run installation. Still got the lovely Lakka flower. I actually like the flower LOL.

Please try to provide some Lakka system and graphic card logs so that we can help you.

Thank you.

It seems there is no fatal error. Can you try to type to get the output

for p in /sys/class/drm/*/status; do con=${p%/status}; echo -n "${con#*/card?-}: "; cat $p; done

Then we will enable/disable some output with something like

live video=DP-1:d video=HDMI-A-1:e

which will force output to HDMI.

Thank you.

It’s connected to HDMI and forcing it through there (changed the monitor index already to 1 to force HDMI out).

Maybe a Monitor Index to change?

Give me a second. Let me access the config file real quick.

Any luck? I think this is finally one of those things I’m going to have to concede on and solve it the tech way and send it to you all. Sacrifice one for the team. It’s not like I don’t have another one. Let me return it back to normal spec and figure this out.

Nevermind: I used the Retroplayer LibreElec build and disabled EmulationStation as a front end and enabled Retroarch as the front end when selecting it from the Kodi menu. Works like a charm. And I get my Chromebox-enhanced Kodi media HTPC to boot! Wow. Good day indeed!

Did you try to boot with in boot prompt (Hit tab to enter the cmdline) ?

live video=DP-1:d video=HDMI-A-1:e video=HDMI-A-2:d

@gouchi Just now, no dice, either, with the cmdline or edited in the bootloader. Sometimes, a loss is a loss on this one.
